What is your experience with the ride share industry?

When there was a down turn in the logistics field, a close friend of mine said whilst looking for a new job why don’t you look at doing Uber driving. I didn’t have the faintest idea what Uber was about and never even heard of it. So, I watched some you tube videos that my friend sent me and it came to my head that I could do this as my parents had owned and driven taxis for over 15 years. So, I started to drive for Uber and saw it really suited my personality. I enjoyed talking with people and made the job a lot more enjoyable. From this I started to build quite a good private clientele by asking passengers I took to the airport. From this I was getting many referrals it became my full-time income. However due to the fact I hit a difficult period health wise I had to slow down driving and start giving work to other drivers. I could see from that moment on the potential this industry had. However drivers were not being looked after and that really made me think If we could give the drivers a better platform to make a better living from this industry. I could see the massive potential in the industry so decided to explore it further with Joe who brought a fresh entrepreneurial perspective and vision.
